Participants of the Reboot Develop 2024 Blue Indie Awards must comply with the terms and conditions defined within the following document.

- The sponsor of this year’s iteration of Indie Awards is Raw Fury
- Indie Awards Specifics
- All participants who enter the Indie Awards competition can choose to compete in five
different categories. The categories are as follows
- GAME OF THE YEAR
- The category represents the very best project/game that stood out from the
rest of the Indie Awards candidates and showed excellence in most of the
aforementioned categories
- OUTSTANDING GAMEPLAY
- The category represents the project/game that showed excellence by
delivering the most encapsulating gameplay mechanics
- VISUAL EXCELLENCE
- The category represents the project/game that showed excellence in various
visual representation aspects including, but not limited to: graphic quality,
visual art style, art direction
- BEST AUDIO
- The category represents the project/game that showed excellence in various
audio representation aspects including, but not limited to: audio design, music
composition, sound effect design, audio engineering
- SPECIAL SELECTION
- The category represents the project/game which does not necessarily fit any of
the aforementioned categories but has stood out from the rest of the Indie
Awards candidates with its ingenuity/originality/innovation and/or delivered
powerful message across its medium
- Submission process
- Every company/studio or individual that applied for the Reboot Develop Blue 2024
Indie Awards, is required to have at least one team member registered for the conference, i.e., a purchased conference pass of any available option/package, to be considered for the Indie Awards selection process.
- Every company/studio or individual that applied for the Reboot Develop Blue 2024
Indie Awards, is required to be present at the conference, and available for contact
in case of any additional questions that the official Indie Awards Jury might have
during the selection process, as well as be present during the Reboot Develop
Blue 2024 closing ceremony, should the company/studio or an individual in
question be nominated or awarded in any of the aforementioned Indie Awards
categories
- If a company/studio or an individual did not register for the conference, submitted
applications will be voided
- The organizer will check/ask for proof of attendance during the time between the
start and the end of the application submission process
- Individuals/companies that are applying with “Indie Package” tickets have priority in application evaluation process
- Submitted game/project can be developed for one or multiple of the following
platforms – PC, Mac, console platforms, VR, AR, XR, handheld platforms, and/or mobile
platforms
- The project/game can only be submitted to compete in the “primary” and/or
“secondary” category from the list of categories above
- All accepted Indie Awards applications are automatically considered for “GAME OF
THE YEAR” as a primary category.
- Optionally, the studio/individual can choose to compete in a secondary category
from the list of categories above.
- The state of the submitted project/game can be in the:
- Active development
- Early access (presence on the market not longer than 9 months)
- Full release (presence on the market not longer than 6 months)
- A company/studio or an individual is allowed to submit more than one project/game
for the current instance of the Reboot Develop Indie Awards, developed under the
single brand/studio name
- A project/game that was submitted and accepted, therefore participated in any of the
previous iterations of the Reboot Develop Indie Awards (Blue or Red), is not allowed to
be submitted for the selection process again, even if the game/project in question is
submitted under a different brand/name
- If the project/game was a winner of any previous iterations of the Reboot Develop
Indie Awards (Blue or Red), its application will be voided
- The application for the Reboot Develop Blue 2024 Indie Awards must be submitted
through the dedicated web form, in which the developer/studio will provide the
Organizer with the required information
- The Organizer will respect the sensitivity of the collected information and will use the
aforementioned information for the application processing and communication
purposes only, all according to the GDPR disclaimer in article 8. of this document
- Independent production
- Every studio/company or individual that submits a project/game for Indie Awards must be independent, i.e.:
- majority of the ownership and control of the company/studio belongs to the company/studio or an individual itself, and is not owned and/or controlled by a video
game publisher, investor, VC or third-party company
- The production of the submitted project/game is funded in majority through the various independent sources
- Jury
- Reboot Develop Blue 2024 Organizer will provide and set up an anonymous international judging committee (the Jury), assembled from some of the top global games industry professionals. The Jury will process and evaluate each game/project within the parameters of each Indie Awards category for which the project is submitted, after which will make an objective and unanimous decision, and therefore a selection of the nominated, and awarded games/projects. Each nominated and awarded game/project will be announced during the special Reboot Develop Blue 2024 conference closing ceremony.
- Award
- Awards for each winner in any of the categories are listed as follows:
• Reboot Develop Indie Package for the next iteration of the Reboot Develop event
• Unique Reboot Develop Blue 2023 award plaque/statuette
The Organizer is obligated to deliver all the awards to the selected winners in a maximum of 90 days period after the Reboot Develop Blue 2023 Indie Award ceremony.
- Deadline
The deadline is 31st of March - 11:59 PM CEST time (or GTM+2).!
